What Happens to our Data?

One of the things we try to impress on our students and wider learning community is protecting personal data and privacy. Mostly this is for protection from cyber-crimes such as identity theft and phishing. But have you ever wondered what happens to the information we readily supply on social media sites like Tumblr and Facebook?
